Emberlyn's Preschool Graduation

I have a graduate!  I'm proud to announce my little preschool graduate, Emberlyn Jade!  This school year went by fast.  She went to 2 different schools this year.  We started out at a co-op preschool.  When we decided to go back home for over a month through Christmas, I decided that we wouldn't hold her spot and take our chances to see if when we'd return, there would be a spot for her.  Well her spot was filled.  But we took the opportunity to go to her "old" preschool, which worked out perfectly because her friend, Ava was going to start there too.

They held a little ceremony in the church sanctuary for graduation.  The 2 four year old classes filed through.  They sang the Star Spangled Banner, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the most adorable alphabet song along with a few others.  Then they were called one by one, to receive their special diploma while the parents rushed to the front to snap that perfect photo.  However, I'm warning you now, not a perfect photo.  I was a bit far away, and my camera didn't respond to the zooming feature.  But it was a great night to celebrate our little preschoolers, dare I say it...  almost kindergarteners.

Wade was out of town, so I took lots of video and a few pictures...

Starting with... the car ride there. =)

Here's "the" photo.  Fortunately, I got one again with her teachers towards the end.
 Seriously, Mom?
I promise, he wasn't in a sour mood the entire time.
Okay, everytime I picked Emmy up from school, they were finishing up with lunch.  Brenner usually didn't eat until after we got home.  So, he usually makes his way to the lunch tables, finds his sister and asks for leftovers.  So, when he saw all the kids sitting down to enjoy a cupcake after graduation, his teacher made him a little seat to enjoy with the rest.  So very sweet...
I'm just one of the kids!

They were showing off the backs of their shirts with the list of everyone's names.  I love how Brenner is doing the same, and Ellie's expression is fabulous.  =)

Here's the other picture I snagged with her teachers, Miss Kellie and Miss Stacy.  Emmy's expression, however, is pretty stinkin' funny.  This is her typical silly stance and smug face to boot.  Gotta love it.
You're growing up big girl.  Thanks for being the sweetest and silliest girl I know.  You are mommy's little helper and quite a big sister.  You are the beat of my heart.  Love you Emmy Lou Lou.  You're off to some big girl adventures!
