A Playdate with Our Friends...and a Turtle Too

We have been pretty busy this month. They just re-did a section of the aquarium in town and we went to meet some friends for an afternoon playdate. Emmy had so much fun running around and exploring.

We couldn't take this picture fast enough for Emmy. She had other things to do...

Mitch, Emmy, Gracie, and Peter

This was one of the new parts of the aquarium. It was like going through a tunnel of water. The fish were swimming on all sides of you. It was really neat. The pictures didn't turn out very well. But it looked really neat. Emmy really enjoyed it.
Brenner will be 4 months next week. Yes, I know, 4 months already, how can it be? Well, I decided to weigh him the other day, and he's already 17 pounds. He has nearly tripled his birth weight! His belly laugh gets me everytime. When I'm getting him undressed he laughs, especially when I lift his arms up. H'e very ticklish. And he's quite a kicker. He's always kicking his legs. He found his hand last week. I love when they discover things. He held his little hand up in front of his face and moved it around and stared at it in amazement. Like, "Wow...look what I can do." And about 3 nights ago, he decided that those hands taste really good too! He'll sometimes spit his pacifier out and go to town on his hand. He still ooohs and ahhhs at Emmy. Noone can get him to talk like she can.

Emmy's a little mommy. She puts a blanket over Brenner and makes sure that he's nice and cozy. When he spits up, she runs to get a burp cloth.
She'll hold her baby doll and say, "I got you, I got you..." It's so incredibly cute. She likes to run around in her diaper now. She was playing dress-up in her princess costumes. And then it turned into dressing up in her pj's. And now, it's just getting naked. I don't know how dressing up turned into that!
She's such a caring little girl. She tells Brenner, "oh, you're alright," when he cries. And she's put his pacifier back in his mouth. I'm so grateful to have my little helper. Emmy, you really are the best!

More December Pictures

We couldn't decide if we were going to put our Christmas tree up this year with Wade's crazy schedule, but I decided I would do it all by myself. And, somehow, I did it! Emmy had fun taking each ornament out of the box. She was such a big helper. Here is Emmy posing next to our tree...

And here are some pictures of cute, little Brenner. He's quite the talker. His favorite word is "guh." It's so cute! His favorite time to talk is at night around 9:00 after his feeding. He enjoys having a full belly!

Poor Brenner, everytime I use the bright flash on the camera, it scares him and his eyes get big and wide. So sorry Brenner boy. Mommy takes too many pictures of you 2.

I like this picture because it shows how fascinated he is with Emmy. Everytime she gets close to him, he gets the biggest grin across his face and ooos and ahhhs. They've got something special together already. It's going to be so much fun watching these two as they grow up.

These Are a Few of Emmy's Favorite Things

Dressing up and marshmallows...

Meet Cinderella, the marshmallow princess.

Brenner's 3 Months!

Little B turned 3 months last Saturday. He is such an amazing baby. He has the cutest smiles and sounds. His little chunky face, belly, and legs make me laugh. Emmy was not at all a chunky baby. I've just been eating him up. Happy 3 months Brenner Man!

Our Trip to Illinois

We traveled to be with my family in Illinois for Thanksgiving. 32+ hours on the road, and 2 quiet kids... we couldn't have asked for anything more! And what a great trip it was! Not only did we have amazing, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G food, but I got to spend my birthday with everyone too. We got spoiled with TWO thankgiving dinners. My cousin, Adam, smoked an amazing turkey! Yummy! And Grandma Wells had all the Thanksgiving fixings along with pumpkin pies! Thanks Grandma Wells for the wonderful birthday cake! Emmy had a great time playing with everyone. It's amazing how much she remembered from the last time we visited. And it was really exciting to introduce Brenner to everyone. Grandma Z couldn't get enough of him. Thanks to my parents, lil bro Camden, and sis Chelsea for making the trip from Texas! I love you, and we'll see you in a few short months!

Emmy's tea party

Grandma Z decided that we should have a tea party for Emberlyn since it was our last day there. We all sat on the floor, and Emmy poured us some refreshments. And she managed to not spill a drop. I've been teaching Emberlyn to say "cheers!" and clink glasses, so I had her do it during the tea party, pretty funny.

Thank you everyone for a great time! And for letting our circus of a family, through your doors. We can't wait to see you all again! We love you!
