Our Time in San Antonio

We went out to lunch with Wade's grandfather in San Antonio. He's the sweetest most gentle-hearted man you'll ever meet. This was the first time Brenner's met him. Let's just say that they got along from the very start. We had a really great visit!









Wade's sister had a birthday party for Colten and Caitlyn and they rented the most ginormous water slide I have ever seen! Emmy was really excited about it, but it took some coaxing to get her down it. She wasn't a fan of the climb up, and was nearly frightened to death to slide down. But Wade and Uncle Keith worked their magic and got her to come down.


Wade found an easier way to get her to the top.






We went over to Wade's aunt and uncle's house for a great BBQ and pool time! Thanks Tamsy and Ronnie!

Bang! Bang!

Wade recently purchased a few new guns (an M-4 and a Glock), and was super excited to show me how they work. Me...NOT a fan of guns. He wants me to be able to protect myself when and if needed, but seriously, they just freak me out. I agreed to come and possibly, just possibly, shoot one of them. Chelsea, Camden, and Skylar were also talked into coming. Although, I think they were a little excited about it. Skylar and Camden shot first, and then talked Chelsea into it. And me... I chickened out a few times after holding it, getting into position, finger on the trigger, sweating...and then quickly placing the gun back down. But after a few coaxes from my siblings, my husband, his friend, his friend's wife, and finally his dad, I thought...ok Megan, you're ridiculous. Pull the trigger. And I finally did it. There!

And I'd probably do it again.

Cedar Park High School: Class of 2010

We got to attend Chelsea's senior graduation. Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We are not the most punctual people in the world, so we had to sit on the opposite far-end of the stage. Which worked out well because Wade and my dad took the kids out frequently to walk around. Brenner grew a little restless and Emmy's bag of tricks...well, just weren't doing the trick. So she got bored rather quickly.

Hula Bunny, Prom, Trampolines, and a Few Other Random Pictures in Texas

One of Emmy's favorite things to do at Mimi and Papa's is play dress-up. She always had a costume on.

And here she is dressed as a hula bunny. You should see her hula dance. I call it her "Hula Surfer" dance.


I'm so thrilled that I made it to Texas for Chelsea's senior prom. She looked fabulous! Her dress was so beautiful. And she asked yours truly to do her make-up. Thanks Chelsea! I had so much fun getting you and your friend, Liz, ready. I felt like I was in high school all over again getting ready for the big night. You girls were stunning!




Emmy had a blast being girly with Nana. Nana painted her nails, dressed her up in jewels, and put hot rollers in her hair. Emmy was in princess heaven! Here she is getting all dolled up.

Wade and I went on a really nice double date with some friends. We went to the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. Delish! And what a view! If you're ever in Austin, Texas, I HIGHLY recommend it.
