Our little miss is 22 months already! I can't believe I'll be planning her 2nd birthday soon. This past year is going by super fast. People say that she is looking more and more like me, and others say, more and more like her Daddy. So, she must be a good mix of us both. She has been saying so many words and phrases. And some, I'm still trying to figure out. She enjoys feeding Avery in the morning. I scoop the food, and she pours it in the bowl. And then I'll give Emmy a glass of water, and she'll pour that into Avery's water bowl. Then, she helps me put Avery's leash on and takes her outside. She is so independent these days, but she is also all about Mommy! She can't get enough of being held, snuggled, and read to. She also runs like the wind. There is no containing Emberlyn in stores anymore. She hides in clothing racks and runs from aisle to aisle. So, I try to pack a bag full of snacks so she'll sit in the shopping cart or stroller. She makes me laugh like no other. I was getting dressed the other day, and Emberlyn sat next to me on the bed, and tried pulling on my belly while saying, "heavy!" I had to explain to her that she can't take it off. Her brother's in there! But, that may be why. She's ready to meet this "brother" that we keep talking about. Soon enough Emmy. He's coming soon enough. Here are a few pictures of our crazy, loving, wild child.

Photos by Aunt Chelle
My sister in law, Michelle, came into town last week. And we've been having so much fun with her. She's been taking pictures of Emmy, and they've all turned out so great! So, thank you Michelle for these wonderful pictures! And thank you for coming out to see us!

Pool Time With Daddy!

Emmy has been loving the pool! We've been trying to teach her to kick, but she just says, "hold you! hold you!" Which, of course, means "hold me." Wade bought her water wings today, but she did not want to let go. She held on tight to him, and cried for a little bit. Then, we'd switch off, and I'd take her for a little while. We've also been teaching her to float on her back. But, the back of her head has to be resting on Wade's shoulder. Then, she'll kick her legs. Her favorite thing to do is sit on the side of the pool or the steps and kick her legs. And she also loves to sit on Wade's back while he swims around.
